Hawaii Vacation–Part 4–Kauai

Our Hawaii Vacation series continues with the island of Kauai, the fourth and final island described in this series.

This small island has an incredible variety of landscapes. More than six million years ago by the forces of nature shaped, rocky landscape ranges from the spectacular Na Pali on the North Shore for the dramatic Waimea Canyon. Kaui seems slow for a quiet family vacation or a rugged outdoor adventure suitable.

The oldest and northernmost of the four main islands of Hawaii, Kauai only covers 553 miles square, is a pronounced “round” island with a population of 51,000 inhabitants.

Like the other islands of Hawaii, the hottest and coldest month only differ by 8 degrees or so. The sea temperature is remarkably consistent, hovering between 72-76 degrees all year round.

Kauai is known as “The Garden Isle” known for its high proportion of plant life. The climate of the rainforest is the wettest of the Hawaiian Islands and mt. Wai’ale’ale is the piovosoangolo the earth!

The people of the island are among the friendliest in the country, according to an annual survey of holidaymakers. Two of the locations of Kauai – Princeville Resort and the Hyatt – consistently rated in the top twenty in a tropical area popular travel magazine.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa (Formerly Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa) is located on the sunny side of the island. With 602 rooms, 4 tennis courts, golf course, 5 restaurants, cocktail bars, child care, swimming pools and hot tubs, such as health, this is a luxury resort.

The Pinceville Kauai Resort is located on the north coast of Kauai. This is a first class resort, and is always at the top of the structures of Kauai. Puu Poa Beach is just a short stroll from the main lawn, and the Princeville Golf Club, which sits as one of the best in Hawaii, in addition to 390 hectares with a sea view from every hole.

However, it is the wild beauty and the opportunity for adventure that many people are attracted to the island. If you dream of hiking or kayaking in a beautiful tropical environment, Kauai is a good choice.

The south and west coasts have long, white beaches. And there are the remains of vast valleys, like the Kalalau Valley on the Na Pali Coast.

The most important and best-known scenario includes the Waimea Canyon and the breathtaking cliffs of the Na Pali Coast. Waimea Canyon – rightly known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific “- and Koke’e State Park in Lihue, are open year round. The canyon stretches 10 miles from the site of Captain James Cook landed famous – in 1778 – a Koke’e State Park

This canyon was the site for a number of films including Jurasic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark, shot in fact, more than two dozen Hollywood movies have been on Kauai!

Walks in the park offers incredible views of the canyons and lush “forest” environment. The canyon is to go hiking, fishing and camping are available.

Kauai’s Na Pali cliffs of the coast are pure, the wild beauty, with deep, narrow valleys ending abruptly to the sea. Waterfalls, rivers and SWIFT remain large stone walled terraces in the valley, where ancient Native Hawaiians once lived.

11 miles to Kalalau Trail provides access to land only in this part of the coast. The tour takes you high above the cliffs and through lush valleys, then down to the sea on the beaches of Hanakapi’ai and Kalalau.

But to see most of the island only from the air. To see Kauai by helicopter is like nothing else in the world, filled with waterfalls, hidden valleys, canyons and uninhabited.

The majestic Napali coast offers the possibility of a world-class snorkeling. No other place in Hawaii offers unique as they formed, for example, on Niihau of ocean currents and waves for the 6 million years ago! On the list of vacation Hawaii, Kauai is a place for goderese for a family vacation or an adventure on land and sea.

Here are some of the best beaches of Kauai: Hanalei Bay Beach is a perfect semi-circle of brilliant white sand, tropical waters, with a backdrop of 4,000 foot waterfalls. It is often described not only as the most beautiful beach in Kauai, but also the best of Hawaii. The beach is about 125 yards wide and framed by the Waipa River in the west and the Hanalei River to the east, on the north coast of Kauai. The floor slopes gradually downward, making it a beautiful beach for young people, and there are large coral reefs at both ends of the bay.

Haen Beach, with its yellow grainy sand and clear emerald waters of rocks left, it seemed as if the thread in many tropical stereotype of Hollywood movies. The summer months offer excellent swimming and snorkeling. However, production of winter, large waves that are fun for surfers, but also dangerous for everyone else.

Galleries beach is excellent for snorkeling spot on the North Shore. The two-mile long runs of Kauai Beach Colony Resort in Hanalei Beach Park Ha’ena The central part has a huge half-moon shaped reef just offshore, where you can snorkel eels, turtles and other colorful marine life to fulfill. Excellent in the summer, Tunnels Beach has great waves during the winter, rendering it as dangerous, can swim.

Shipwreck Beach on the south coast, the sky is a surfer’s body. This beach on Kauai Keoneloa Bay is one of the largest stretches of beach in the Poipu area. While most of the time of the year, Shipwreck Beach more suitable for good swimmers and surfers. This is to break the strong and potentially dangerous waves that are close to shore.

Whether you want a quiet and relaxing time for a station or adventure Oudoor into a tropical paradise, the island of Kauai is a good choice.

I hope you have had this series and soon be able to enjoy your stay in Hawaii. Looking at all these islands have to offer, is the hardest part can choose where to start. Remember, you are not all on one trip, so your planning in this sense, and it will probably be a happier traveler.
